Is anybody’s else’s 2 year old not speaking?

My son said mama and dads when he turned 1, but he stopped forming words. Now he doesn’t use or form any words. I’m looking into speech therapy but I wanted to see if there’s any mamas that can relate

My sisters little boy had trouble with his speech and it was because he has a very talkative older sister and was being overshadowed by her, try having one on one time with him asking him questions allowing him in his own time to try to respond, he will get there my nephew is steadily getting more and more confident with his speech

Yup right there with you. We started speech at 20 months. He started daycare last week and already picking up more words.

Yes. Ask Dr for a speech referral. My son said his 1st word hi 3 days ago. He's been in speech since 18 months. He did start daycare for a week last month did had to stop due to a hurricane. Hoping being around peers help. He's the only child and only around us due to covid

Is he watching lots of TV or maybe is not spoken to a lot during day? I’m not judging TV, just wondering what is he watching. My son watching lots of TV (mostly Blippi and educational programs learning colours and numbers, shapes and letters). So he speaks a lot just picking up from TV. Also I stay at home with him and talk to him all the time.
