Is this swaddle too tight?

I’m terrible at swaddling so I bought a newborn zip up one and hes 9 days old and weighed 8 and a half pounds at birth. Does this look right or too tight ?? And where should his arms go? Straight on his side or on top of his stomach like this ? I got it off amazon in a 2 pack and it said up to 12 pounds

To me it looks fine. Babies like to be swaddled snug

I think so, babies should be able to still have some bend at the hips, maybe look into that!

It looks tight but they are supposed to be snug. Hard to tell over picture but k think of it how I think of my own clothes. If you are wearing a shirt and there’s a difference between snug and too tight. You should be able to feel the difference in the fabric. Hopefully that makes sense and helps!

Looks too tight to me.. if the  baby is bigger than 8lbs I don’t think their counted as “newborn” anymore but I could be wrong
