Ultrasound scan

Went in for my ultrasound scan today, I am 34+1 and the sonographer (however you spell it) told me my babies head is very low down but apart from that everything is fine, after leaving the room i had to go see a midwife and she told me that my baby weighs too much and that I have to go in tomorrow morning for a gestational diabetes test and when i come in for my next ultrasound scan on 15th Sep the DR will want to play my deliver meaning aither being induced or having a c section, i stood there crying as didnt really expect any of this, my baby weights 2kg 715g, and this is my second pregnancy but i lost my first baby, has anyone been in this situation before? I am freaking out and dont know what to expect
