Moving to the country?
Has anyone here moved from a bustling urban area to the country? What was the hardest adjustment for you?
We are thinking of selling our house in a very crowded suburban neighborhood just minutes from a well-known big city in California and buying some land and a home in the country closer to our family. I’m a little worried about making such a big move with a newborn, but at the same time I want her to grow up closer to her grandparents and cousins and away from the stress of the city. My husband grew up in the country, but I’ve always lived in a town with conveniences like public gas for my stove and dryer, grocery store just minutes away, lots of Doordash options, Instacart, Amazon same-day delivery, schools down the street, etc. I’ve always dreamed of having a couple of acres for chickens, a goat, a big garden, etc., but never imagined it would be possible due to my husband’s job. Luckily, due to Covid-19, everything is becoming remote so it finally gives us the option to have our dream house and land in the country, but I’m very curious to hear what the hardest adjustment was if you’ve moved from the city to the country. Thanks ❤️
