How late is too late for Doula?

So I was just contacted by doula to do meet and great next Sunday. I'm 36 + 1. How late is too late to start with a Doula? I know they can also help with after care services especially with my plan to breastfeed but for delivery will there be a connection or will it be just business and awkward?

That’s about when I met my doula when I had my son. We chatted for an hour or so to make sure we were compatible and so I could share my birth plan. She checked in after doctors appointments to make sure we were on track, but we didn’t have in-depth conversations between our introduction and labor. I’m not sure what more we could’ve talked about. My experience was great. She was a professional who honored my wishes and helped me to have the experience that I was hoping for.

Depends on how you feel about her as a person. If you don't get on with them then it will likely be awkward, but her job is to make women feel cared for and powerful during a very vulnerable time, I find it hard to believe you could end up not feeling a connection. 
I reccomend looking at medical support available to you for breastfeeding too. Breastfeeding is natural, but its natural like walking, not breathing. The biggest thing to remember is it is NOT supposed to hurt, and if it does, there is an issue you need help with. 
Best of luck with your birth no matter who is by your side! breastfeeding is tough, but amazingly rewarding and so worth it. I'm still feeding my 1 year old.
