Wedding guest count

Hey ya'll 👋

I'm getting married. Super excited about it too! I found a dress, we have paid for our venue and we are just loving engaged life. It's honestly a beautiful time in a relationship!

So the venue we have chosen (and fully paid for I might add) has limits which is reasonable! You all know that some places would have their own rules or limitations like like example a child free environment or maybe they have rules about seating (I was at a wedding once that was in a fancy garden and we had to stand for the ceremony because chairs were not permitted - it was different but ok cause it was like a 15 minute ceremony no biggie)

Anyways!!! The venue we chose together has a limit of 55 seated guests. It's small but okay! Also we have to include like our photographer and DJ in that guest count because they require a meal type of thing. Now I just wanna emphasize that the venue has a limit. Their own made limit of 55 seated maximum! This includes children too. So even if you have a baby who isn't having a meal, they count as a body - I believe it's a fire safety code too perhaps?!

We booked this venue about 3 months ago (getting married next summer). Our guest count is exactly 55 with the inclusion of our photographer and DJ. Our family and friends are very close and unless someone is sick, no doubt everyone will be there.

Three people have announced pregnancies - and this was after we announce our venue and made our guest list.

I have no issue with babies. But all three of these babies will likely be born by the time the wedding happens. And they are bodies. And they do count (I asked the venue) it isnt 55 maximum including babies.

WTF DO WE DO?!

These expecting individuals and assuming they can bring the babies and I have no idea how to handle this.

**** these people have been invited...including their current (not pregnant with) children! We booked our venue 3 months ago. We gave out invitations about 3 weeks ago (yes I know early) but it's out of town and instead of gifts we just ask that people get themselves there. We gave tons of notice so people could save if needed ****
