Thoughts on being celibate?

I’m really to the point where I find sex over rated like there’s absolutely no point in having sex unless we have a genuine connection. I desperately want a baby but my sex drive is super low that I’m even considering just being celibate but I feel like I’ll never conceive if I don’t have sex

This was me when I was 21 lbs. Sex had been so unenjoyable for the three yrs I had been having it and I started to feel like maybe I need to be in love to enjoy it. So I was celibate for almost three years, then was sexually active with my bf at the time because I loved him. Then I had sex with my next bf because we were in love, and it was the only time in my life that I had sex ln a regular basis with the same person and we could learn and teach other about our bodies and what we liked and needed, and STILL sex was unenjoyable and very very boring and predictable and one-sided. Oddly enough, sex got better after that relationship when I started casually dating and having no-strings-attached sex for like two yrs 🥴 for some reason, I just learned so much more about my own body and what I liked during that time. Not saying that you should go out and just have sex with everyone lmfao. But I think in my experience, being celibate actually hindered me from figuring out how to have good sex, if that makes sense.

You should invest your time in seriously learning to date. Read books on dating and marriage so u can sift, vett, and screen potential boyfriend and partners. Boundaries in dating is a good book. 23 guys you might meet on social media good book… as well as naked wife. They all cover red flags, toxic traits, and the last one covers what happens if u settle for any guy or dont screen properly but end up in toxic long term commited relationship.
    Maybe look into “PAID FOR” dating websites to increase the potential quality of people u come across. I just say that because people who pay for a service are opt to be more serious about what it is they are looking for. Also maybe look at a match making service as well!

I mean you need an egg and a perm to have a baby but it doesn’t have to be traditional sex to get there
