How did you KNOW you were in labor?

FTM here! 38 weeks + 2 Days and I am over analyzing every little thing right now 😂 I know every moms experience is different but if anyone could weigh in on their symptoms in early labor it would help me out!

you will know the contractions will
come and go and intensify. Think about climbing a mountain gping up is the start of a contraction the top is the peak of a contraction the sorest part then itll ease off, with my recent birth i could talk during most of my cintractions its when it got the point i couldnt talk i knew thngs were moving along, u may have braxton hicks leadng up to birtg, use them to practice breathing thru the little tightenings of your bump.

I noticed contractions getting more frequent but not necessarily regular so I dismissed it. After about two hours they started to get uncomfortable, and then that quickly changed to painful. Once it was painful enough that I couldn’t breathe or move through it, I called my mom and was like “I think I need to go to the hospital”. I definitely waited longer than I should have, and if I could do it again (or ya know, next time maybe) I would’ve went when they first started getting uncomfortable. I wanted the epidural but didn’t have time by the time I got to the hospital 😂

The day before my contractions started, I had the runs, was a little nauseous, had light brown discharge, not hungry. Almost like I was sick but I wasn’t. I could tell he was just so low and ready to go. Then, my contractions started the next day. Very far apart and got closer together the day after that. I finally went to L&D.

I didn't have any contractions. My waters broke and just gushed everywhere. The contractions didn't come in at all. About 9 hrs later when I went to the hospital I had to be induced.

Well, tmi incoming 😅
I had diarrhea for 3-4 hours before I realized that I was not having BH. I felt unsafe and doing the drive to the hospital I was calmed down for the first time in 5-6 hours where I had just been going to the toilet or pacing around at home. Looking back it was so obvious 😂
But in the car I most definitely wasn't in doubt no more. And when I came to the hospital I was 8 cm open 😅
You'll know. Maybe not immediately, but you'll know 😂

I went out in the yard and did some gardening and had period like cramps all afternoon. I knew that was somwthibg I hadn't experienced all pregnancy. When they started coming all night and into the early next day I knew it was early labour sign and started to count them.
I was due to be induced the morning after the contractions started anyway!
