Boyfriend troubles

Ok, this annoys me so much. So today at work I called my boyfriend and said on Saturday I have to take care of the dogs. So he said so we cannot see a movie. I did not hear him the first-three times due to people talking and that the speakers in my phone are a piece of crap and of course I don’t have good service at work. He snapped at said holy shit you make this harder than its has to be. All I said was I cannot be gone for a long period of time and he had to repeat himself. I don’t know why cussing had to come into play with our conversation.

This happens a lot where something as simple as repeating himself causes his anger.

I know this is toxic, but what do I do? I don’t want to break up with him. He checks off al the boxes other than not mouthy, good attitude, and family oriented.
