Bother getting married?

Should I bother getting married after being with my boyfriend for nine years and had two kids together? I also have a another child from a previous relationship.

I would never at this point after 9 years ESPECIALLY when his not the one who asks to get married and seems extremely genuine about it.

It doesn’t sound like he desires to marry you, he’s basically wasted your time for nine years, he could’ve literally married you at any point during those nine years rather than dragging it out for nine years, sounds like he’s just leading you on or giving you false hope, he’s comfortable with the situation, why change it that’s probably where he’s coming from. I’m guessing he’s probably the kind of person who says it’s just a piece of paper, it doesn’t mean anything, you’re already living together and have a life together. It sounds like he’s just stringing you along and wasting your time, if this is something that you want, it may not be with this man. When a man knows what he wants, either he doesn’t have his life together, he doesn’t have his ducks in a row, or he’s just sticking around out of guilt or manipulation or obligation or he feels he owes it to you after all these years, not that he wants to get married. Either he doesn’t think you’re the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with, or he doesn’t have his life together and he’s nowhere near settling down. Usually when a man has his ideal career, salary, owns a house, he has his life in a row the way it supposed to be, then he’s ready to settle down I don’t know if this guy is unemployed I don’t know if he’s bouncing from one job to the next, he can’t keep a job, he’s not mentally stable, or what his deal is, or why he doesn’t want to marry you or why he hasn’t even thought about it all these years, usually by year five a guy realizes where his life is going and who it’s going with, I don’t know why you stuck around This long, and wasted your time with this man. Are you happy that’s the question, if you’re not happy, and you’re both just sticking around and going through the motions, ask yourself these questions. Are you happy, are you being supported by your partner, and that goes for every which way, emotionally, mentally, physically, sexually, financially, next question are your needs being fulfilled￼￼ but also goes for every level, the next question are you feeling connected to your partner, and that goes for every level as well, and finally is one person being selfless while the other person is being selfish, if the answer is no to these questions, but I think the relationship has run its course, and I think you are sticking around due to obligation or guilt or staying together for the sake of the kids or anything else, if you’re not happy, then you’re probably miserable, if you’re asking us if you should be getting married, you probably already doubting the relationship and doubting him. I don’t know if he was unfaithful, I don’t know what other issues is going on in the relationship, but If you have to ask a bunch of strangers if you should marry someone, then you probably already have doubts in the answer is probably no￼
