Baby Hates Car Seat and Stroller

Over the last few weeks, my son (12 weeks old) has developed an intense hate for his car seat and stroller. He doesn’t get upset when I put him in the car seat in our house, but as soon as I load the car seat in the car, he screams. It’s not just a little cry/fuss but full blown screaming. This continues until we get to our destination. Last week he screamed for the entire hour and a half trip home from my in-laws house.

He used to be fine with his car seat in the stroller, but now he screams there too.

I don’t know what to do. I feel trapped in my house. I can baby wear him for walks but it is summer here right now, so that gets hot fast.

I’ve tried temperature adjustments with a fan for the stroller or a blanket in the car. I’ve tried bringing his favorite toys. I’ve tried pacifiers but he gets so mad that he just spits them out. I’ve tried a sound machine and different music. I’ve checked that his harness is safely snug but not pinching. I don’t know what else to try.

He’s a super clingy baby so walks used to be one of the only times I got a break from wearing or holding him. Losing that plus feeling trapped in my house is driving me insane.

Anyone have any ideas to fix this??
