Tantrum
My two year old just threw the worst tantrum I have ever seen at target. I just feel so overwhelmed and want to cry lol. I don’t know if I handled it right and I have no idea what to do to prevent it in the future. I was there with my MIL of course and she’s great but she caves and gives him things when he’s being naughty. He wanted to push the shopping cart and I wanted him to sit down in the front of the basket. She usually lets him help push it when she takes him shopping and I think that’s why he threw a fit when I said no…But I’m not going to let him push the cart every single time I go grocery shopping. Anyways he was flailing his arms and legs and hitting me in the face, screaming, arching his back, pulling my hair, etc. I couldn’t even get him in the seat so we just ended up leaving. I’m exhausted and my MIL didn’t want to get hit so she just suggested we give up and let him push the basket🤦🏼♀️ but I’m not trying to let him get what he wants during an episode. I’m not sure If I just want to vent or look for advice! Is this normal behavior for a two year old (extreme, bad tantrum) ? It’s been happening more and more frequently and I’m honestly scared for the future.
