contractions

my doctor told me to only go into labor and delivery if i have my bloody show, movement from the baby decreases, or my water breaks but i’ve been having contractions lasting a minute and a half each every 5-7 minutes so i called and they said i should only go in if i can no longer talk during the contractions?? i think that’s a stupid way of determining when it’s time to go in because i can technically talk through them but they HURT, so what should i do? go in anyways and risk being sent home because i might not be far enough along or risk having a baby at home? i live 45 minutes from the hospital too
