My partner and I had not been avoiding conceiving for about 8 years. I was told from a young age that it would be hard for me to conceive due to PCOS. We did not want to go through the pain and heartache of the fertility process and decided we would let what happens happen. Then I was diagnosed with cancer in May 2020 and was told it would REALLY be hard now. I finished treatment in November 2020 and we ended up conceiving in February 2021! We didn’t find out I was pregnant until I was already 20 weeks. I didn’t have nausea or anything in the beginning months and the fatigue I was feeling I assumed was just due to a slower recovery from chemotherapy. It was a real surprise as we had really come to terms that it was just not going to happen for us. But here we are! We are so excited to meet our baby girl.
