Y’all friends with your ex?

I don’t mean just a text here and there. I mean like y’all talk on the phone and go out to dinner just them kind of friends. My bf is trying to process why I was upset that he didn’t introduce me to her.

I dated this one guy on and off for five years during my college years. We didn't work out as a couple. But we both don't have alot of friends and we still do care about each other. We ended up living in the same city about 5 years after our last break up. We are pretty close friends now that hang out probably every other week. But my husband has met him and isn't worried about him. My ex reminds me of all the bad characteristics my dad has and my hubby sees it. I admit most times being friends with an ex is bad news. And not introducing your new partner to a friend that is an ex is rude in my opinion. I would drop my ex as a friend in a heart beat if my hubby was at all uncomfortable with it.

I voted yes but my ex husband and I have 3 children lol. I guess that doesn’t necessarily mean we have to be friends… but we are and it makes things a lot easier. We just had lunch and went shopping together yesterday without the kids… and we’re seeing a movie next week.
