Potty training

Has anyone else started potty training yet? We just started today and while I'm totally frustrated with the amount of pee I had to clean up and just the exhaustion from it, I think it was a success. He pooped in his little potty and peed in it 5 or so times. He peed on the floor like 8-10 times though 🥴 he always wants to sit on the big toilet but he just wants to flush it and he's done with it so I'm not so sure hoe that transition is going to go.
