Currently exclusively breastfed from birth until now.

My 9 day old nurses for 7-15 minutes before falling asleep. She doesn’t nurse long enough to switch breasts. I try everything under the sun to keep her awake during feeds.

Plenty of wet/dirty diapers.

I am currently still waking her every 2-3 hours to feed since she was not back to her birth weight at her appointment this past Monday.

I’m going to ask her pediatrician about it on Tuesday, but I was looking for personal experiences from moms on here in the meantime. Are the short feeds cause for concern? Is she sleepy because she is getting what she needs food-wise?

I am so scared for my supply to drop and not be able to support her eating needs later on down the road.
