I was just wondering if anyone knew or had any experience in getting mastitis whilst pregnant and not actually breastfeeding.

I breastfed my 20 month old son and ended up with mastitis about a year ago now.

I started last night with really sore right breast, it’s swollen, hot and I can feel hard lumps behind the nipple, TMI but I squeezed and clear liquid came out then what I’m assuming is milk?..

My right breast is the one my son seemed to prefer so towards the end of my breastfeeding journey with him I was pretty much just feeding from this one, he seemed to refuse the other one. So my right breast is the one I had mastitis in.

It’s definitely not just normal pregnancy breast pain, its something else and the only thing I can compare it to is mastitis. TIA xx
