Vaginal birth after c-sections?

Hi all! I've had 2 c-sections and just found out I'm pregnant again 3 days ago. I'm just wondering if anyone has had multiple c-sections and were able to deliver vaginally after? I really want to try vaginally and wanted to with my last but my doctor said no because it wasn't quite 2 years since my first c-section. She'll be 3 next weekend, my due date is May 26th...hoping to be awake for one of my baby's births and not have such a huge recovery time.
