Can I lift car seat with baby??

I’m 5 weeks after my c-section. Is it ok now to lift the car seat with the baby in it?? We have her doctor appointment this afternoon. So I’m wondering if it’s safe now?

I’ve been lifting the baby in the car seat since 2 weeks after my c-section. I also have a 33 pound daughter who isn’t quite 2 yet that I have been carrying since then as well. We also moved at 5 weeks postpartum and I was definitely carrying heavy boxes. You should be fine at this point. 💗

I’ve been lifting baby with car seat since we left the hospital (will be 5 weeks on Thursday.) Like the other comment said I was told not to lift anything more than baby in car seat /10 lbs.. well my son is now 13 lbs 😳 as long as you’ve had no issues lifting him I’d say you’re alright! Just take your time if you need to! Your body will tell you if you over do it

When I left the hospital after my csection, I was told I could only lift the car seat with baby in it. Nothing heavier. I think that was too heavy but at 5 weeks you should be good. Just be mindful of anything pulling.
