Cervical pain during sex

I have never experienced this before. I had what felt like cramps half the day. I thought maybe the app was wrong and I was actually ovulating and experiencing the little pain that other women say they get when they ovulate. The app said I ovulated 2 days ago but the pain was yesterday. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I had sex but I found it to be bothersome and if he went deep, it was outright painful. I had to play with positions and angles. Most were fine as long as he didnt go too deep but when I tried riding him facing forward, that was really painful. Reverse cowgirl was fine 🤷🏽‍♀️ I don't know how that worked but it did.

Later when I went to wash off, I went in with my fingers to see if I felt anything abnormal and it was my cervix that was tender and felt like it was positioned a little different than usual. I've heard cervix position changes through our cycles though.

Does anyone know what this is or what it means? Have you experienced it before? Should I lay off sex for a few days? I hadn't had sex in 3-4 days so it wasn't what caused the tenderness.
