Seriously about to quit my job, why can’t they understand things?!?!?
I work as a CNA in a long term care facility.
I let them know today that I am on a 10 pound weight restriction FROM MY OBGYN, as I have a hemorrhage.
All my boss wants to do is argue and tell me I don’t have to do any lifting at work, because we’re supposedly a no lift facility.
I do, in fact, do a lot of lifting.
I have several residents I actually have to do some pretty hefty lifting on. Even the few stand up lifts I have, I still have to lift their legs into bed and that’s beyond my restriction.
I’m trying to explain this to her but she just wants to continuously argue with me.
Advice needed because I seriously don’t want this SCH to get worse, I don’t want to end up losing this baby, and I need her to understand that we do more lifting than she thinks we do and I absolutely will not be doing anything more than my doctor has set for me.
I’m so frustrated.
Update: cramping got pretty bad yesterday at work, so I decided to take off work until my next appointment to see how the SCH is looking. Work is pissed but I have to do what’s best for me and baby.
