How to use ovulation test strips

Hi ladies, this is my second month of TTC. I used clear blue ovulation test strips last month, but this month I bought easy at home test strips. My question is how long do u dip the test strip in the urine for? I have been keeping it dipped into urine until all of the dye reaches top, is this the correct way to use it?

Last month I easily saw my dark positive line on clear blue strip. This month I have been testing for a week now once or twice a day but I havnt seen a very dark line, my line actually seems to be getting lighter. Glow calendar says I should be ovulating tomorrow but test strips don’t show it. 🤷‍♀️ I also did get my period 3 days earlier than glow predicted, but I updated that in the app. My husband and I have been BD every other night during my fertile window just in case I am ovulating. But right now I am just confused and not feeling very confident in getting prego this month.
