Born at 36 weeks?

Question

Anyone have a 36 weeker here? How much NICU time? I went into preterm labor last week and received both the shots but I’m just curious if the shots truly help. I’ll be 36 weeks Wednesday and hoping he’ll hang on.

My first was born at 35 weeks 5 days. He was small (4lbs 8oz), but he was healthy. He had to stay in the NICU for a week because he couldn’t regulate his own body temperature. He was the smallest baby in the nursery, but one of the healthiest. Hope everything goes well for you and your LO.

I gave birth at 36 weeks on the dot, after preterm labour that started at 31 weeks so I was lucky :) was given the shots and everything they could do for me, he was born little but no NICU time! :) by little I mean 5lbs and like 16 inches long

My daughter was born at 34 weeks and 5 days no nicu time but I was given two sets is steroid shots 48 and 24 hours before delivery, she just had jaundice and needed the lamp but was allowed to do that in our room. She went home with us 3 days after we had her due to c section

No nicu time but my son had jaundice so he had to be under the light so that added 2 extra days to our hospital stay

At 36 weeks baby probably won't need NICU time. If they are born at 37weeks a baby is considered full term. So getting pretty close.

My baby came at 37 weeks she was healthy and needed no NICU time she was breathing on her own at my last ultrasound

My mom had my little brother at 35 weeks and he didn’t need to stay in the NICU.

My sister was a 36 week premie due to IUGR. She was 5 lb 6 oz when she was born. She stayed in the NICU for a week. They had some trouble with keeping her blood sugar up but she was fine after that.

My daughter was 35+5 and spent 3 days in the nicu.  I didn’t have steroids as my water broke unexpectedly.  
My son was 33+4 and I had steroids with him.  I think they probably helped him tons because he never had any respiratory distress after birth so didn’t need any respiratory support.  He just had a feeding tube and iv
