Make it to hospital in time GBS+ ?

If you’re GBS positive, and didn’t make it to the hospital in time for antibiotics, what happened? Did everything turn out okay? Curious because my hospital is almost 2 hours away and I’m afraid I won’t make it in time.

I’ve been GBS positive for both of mine. The first was an induction so I was definitely there “in time”. My second I wasn’t. They told me to wait until my contractions were every 5 minutes lasting 1 minute long for an hour. So I labored at home until the time I was supposed to go in for my scheduled induction later that morning. I still wasn’t having them that frequently. I made it to the hospital around 7 AM and my daughter was born at 9:45 AM. They fussed at me a lot because of the GBS (which was literally the first thing I told them upon arrival because I knew how important it was). But my daughter was fine. I’m pregnant with my 3rd now and I will talk to my doctor about going to the hospital earlier this time.

I delivered my son 10 minutes after arriving to the hospital being gbs positive and all they did was observe him closely for 48 hours

It's 4 hours worth of antibiotics. I would just head to the hospital as soon as contractions start vs laboring at home. I was GBS+ and was 10cm and had my water break at the 3.25 hour mark and my doctor made me wait until the 4th hour before she let me start pushing.

Here they don't check for GBS so they treat it if there's a problem - to avoid making more antibiotic resistancet bacterias. So I don't understand why they can't do that.
