Attending Events with Dresscodes

Do you think it’s ok? Would you attend?

Watched a video of a woman who was getting ready to attend a wedding (as a normal guest- not bridal party) and could only wear specific colors. She said she didn’t own these colors and was struggling.

A lot of people said the bride/groom were doing too much by enforcing a dress code to their wedding.

They’re paying for your entertainment, your meal, and giving you a fun time. I don’t see how it’s unreasonable to ask people to wear your wedding colors.

I’ve thrown Halloween themed parties and expect guests to dress in costume. I’ve also had tea parties, we usually dress in cute little dresses and shit we’d never wear elsewhere lol. But I’d never stop them at the door and say they can’t come if they didn’t dress how I expected 🤣🤦🏽‍♀️.
