Is it weird that we are together?

My boyfriend and I have been together since we were 15. In high school, my boyfriend was a really bad student. He got horrible grades, hated school, missed days and was always getting in trouble for behavior etc. He was a teacher’s nightmare. Whereas I was a straight A student, never missed a day of school, etc. I am now substitute teaching and working towards becoming a high school teacher. I was wondering if it is weird that we are a couple when he was someone who hated school and didn’t do well? We are both 22 now.
