Went off on my family

My husband is an ex felon. He got out of prison and it was really hard in the beginning. He went to prison when I was pregnant amd was there 7 years. He didn't know how to bond with our son. He couldn't find a job. He was depressed. He now has a job at a warehouse. We are doing well. He has bonded with our son. He actually showed our son how to make several meals he made in prison(don't care about your opinion on that). Our son knows prison is never a place he wants to go. He even got me a wedding ring with a diamond when he started pulling decent money. We were over my parents house for my nephews birthday. My family has... Feelings towards my husband. And they like to let it be known. They were being snarky amd making mean comments and it caused me to get into it with them. My mom said "This man was snuggling drugs behind your back and went to prison for 7 years. Leaving you with a baby!" My husband got emotional and went to the car. I told my mom that she and dad have no room to talk because where were they when I was going through all of that. I had no family to lean on because all they did for me was pray. Never tried to actually help me. Wouldn't even babysit my son so I could go to work. I also said if they got caught for half the crimes they committed they would have been in that Orange jump suit right next to my husband. My mom said shes not a disgusting crimminal so I brought up all the tax fraud her and my dad committ every years. Also told mt mom she could charged with assault the time she spit on that waitress when I was 12. I got even more petty and wrote down every chime theyve committed and they wpuld have gotten up to 20 years had they been caught. I took my son and left.
