Eloping then having a wedding?

So me & my fiance were wanting to just go down to the court house & get married that way because we just cant wait . What do you guys think of eloping then planning a wedding/reception/ceremony ?

I’ve toyed with this idea many times…. The only thing I don’t like about that is that your wedding date and your wedding date to others won’t match. What if you elope and then just have a celebration party at a later date. That way you can keep the one date 🤷🏼‍♀️

I think its perfect. Me and hubs eloped but no wedding. It was great because instead of focusing on guest, being the center of attention, and the flow of things we actually celebrated us! Look up styled elopements instead of going to the courthouse. Look up elopement services too.

My husband and I did just about this, although you can marry yourselves in CO so we did that instead of the courthouse. Our wedding is going to be this next month on our 1 year anniversary.
