Staph infection or ring worm???
So I rented a bounce house for my sons 3rd birthday. The rental company supposedly cleans the bounce houses in between use, but I don’t think they do
Anyway, the party was Sunday and on Tuesday she woke up with this on her face.
She had an apt with the dr for her flu shot today, so while I was there I told the nurse I wanted to see the doctor really quick to look at her face. She wasn’t supposed to actually see the doctor, just get the flu shot. So the doctor came in quick, I told him i suspected ring worm. He looked at it and said yeah that’s ring worm, and told me to use an OTC cream. So I picked it up, and we used it.
Later in the day, I tell my husband it’s ring worm and I am almost positive it’s from the bounce house. He tells me he didn’t know you could get ringworm from a bounce house, so I’m like yeah, and I Google it, and all these articles come up about freaking staph infections and bounce houses.
Now I am bugging out. The more I look at pictures of staph and ring worm I bug out. I know I should trust the doctor, but I wonder if he just said ring worm bc I said it first (does that make sense?) and he looked at it super super quick, he didn’t like test it or anything.
What do you guys think? Ring worm or staph? I’m getting a second opinion tomorrow but I am freaking out. B
Update- just got back from the doctor again. Same practice, different doctor. She confirmed it’s staph 😭. We got a topical antibiotic hopefully it’s gone soon. Thank you so much ladies ❤️
