Is this a first tooth coming through?

He is only just turned 4 months, is this a tooth? If so how long will it take to come through and what will help? He can’t hold a teether

Definitely a tooth. Ask your pediatrician if you can give Tylenol as needed . Also , a cold wet rag word great (you can put it in freezer too!)

I read somewhere that once you can see it under the gums it'll finish popping within 72 hours.

Definitely a tooth! Congrats 😁 as previously stated, ask your pediatrician if you can give Tylenol. Mine told me I can but to stay away from numbing gels. My baby got his first tooth at almost 4 months and he could hold the teether but hated it 😅

my pediatrician just told me this i had no idea but DONT use oragel on it, the oragel very easily gets to the back of their throat and it has numbing stuff (i think lidocaine maybe, something like that i don’t 
 remember specifically) in it, it can numb their little throats and cause them to choke.
