I’ve been on birth control pills for 6 years and I’m 30 years old. Recently, I checked my blood pressure and it was high. I went to the doctor and right away he told me it was because of the BC pills. He lowered my pills to a low dose and saw me again in 2 weeks, BP was still high so he told me to go off them completely and he will see me in 3 weeks. It’s been a week without BC pills and my BP is still high. I will see my doctor in 2 weeks. Has anyone ever had high blood pressure from birth control pills? How soon should my BP lower? Or could it be that it’s not the pills causing it to be high?
