PLEASE HELP really sick toddler

So my son is 2 years old his been sick for 5 days now with temperature going up and down it reached 40 it felt like he was on fire so i took him into the hospital they said he has a throat and ear infection and discharged him they said to keep giving him panidol and nurefoun and prescribed antibiotics for him which we have been taking for 2 days now and he still is very ill. I noticed his back top and bottom gums are really swollen and think his teeth are cutting through allthough i have noticed his front gums are really swollen and starting to overlap his front teeth the K9. I noticed it and pointed it out to the doctor but he said its normal but today i noticed his bottom gums started doing the samw thing it doesn't look normal to me idk what to do please help what can it be he is in alot of pain and is crying day and night his also been throwing up for 5 days and now has diarrhea from the antibiotics i feel bad for my baby what can this be all from his gums like a infection? Please help ladies
