Gripe water to 6lb baby?

I bought some gripe water for my fussy two week old but when I got home and read the box it said don’t give to babies under 7lbs my son was born at 35 weeks and weighed 5lbs 4oz when he came home he’s now 6lbs do you think it would be ok if I gave him half a dose or a quarter a dose? He so fussy and the doctor says he’s fine so I’m assuming he’s just colic or gassy
