I lied to her… *UPDATED3*

My best friend of 20 years (met when we were 4) is getting married on Saturday (10/16). I moved 1,500 miles away 4 years ago & haven’t seen her in person since. She hasn’t met my kids (age 3 & 1), yet. I told her a year ago when they got engaged that we would be driving up no matter what. Well, we were supposed to leave today but I lied to her…

We actually left yesterday afternoon & are only about 8-ish hours out! She has no clue we’re coming early, her fiancé does & is helping me surprise her. 🥰

It’s getting hard to not give her updates on the trip so here I am 🤪

**UPDATE**

We arrived at like 2am so we waited until this morning to go see her 🤣 She was super excited!!

I parked up the road from her driveway & walked into the yard because I knew she knew what vehicle we had. I had texted her an hour before I got there saying we were still like 8 hours out. Her fiancé came out, said “hey, come look at this big deer out here!”

She came out, saw me, started crying instant & goes *😭* “that’s not a deer!!”

She’s picking me up tomorrow & we’re finally gonna get our matching tattoos! Will update again after they’re done or after the wedding if you guys want. ☺️

Y’all are seriously so awesome in the comments 😭 We both believe we are platonic soul mates, have been saying that for a long time lol! I’m so blessed to have such an amazing friend. She’s always been the one throwing me surprise parties for my birthday & doing everything for me so I really wanted to show out for her this time. 🖤

The wedding was such a success! She was the most beautiful bride ever & my heart was so happy. I’m so honored that I got to come all this way to see her get married. 🤍🥂
