I forgot to tell the doctor I was anemic

During my pregnancy. I went to the urgent care yesterday because of excruciating back pain and was told it was likely my period because I started that same day. The pain has lasted for almost a week now but I’ve never had back pain with my period. When they asked me about my medical history, I remembered to mention the csection 6 months ago, but not that I was borderline anemic because my iron had been low the whole pregnancy and I had been taking iron supplements.

Today I got super shaky and tired and weak very suddenly and have had to sit down so I wouldn’t fall and I strongly suspect it may be low iron again - I am on the heaviest day of my period. So I did some research and I found this online

“There are also other symptoms that occur with iron deficiency. Low back pain is one of the most common early signs. Iron is a catalyst to vitamin C in the formation of the connective tissue, collagen, that gives our tissues strength. The lumbar spine takes more mechanical stress than any other part of the body because so it is one of the first tissues to complain.”

Do you think this may be the cause of the back pain? It’s my lower back (mostly right side) and it’s bad enough that I can barely stand and I’m not allowed to work for the next few days per doctor’s orders.

I feel silly like if this was the problem this whole time maybe I could’ve fixed it without the urgent care, or maybe I could’ve got a clearer answer.
