Gym after baby.?

When can I start going to the gym after having a baby.. I had a easy birth only one stitch. I'm a week PP and feeling great just dying to get on that gym train

I’d start with just walking before jumping into gym stuff. I was told to wait at Least 4 weeks to do anything more than a light walk, and 6 weeks for anything else. And I had an easy labor and no stitches.

I would personally wait until the pp appointment to get the clear from my doctor.

Light exercise only right now. Like I mean light. You need to be cleared from dr first before doing any exercise activity. Especially at the gym. You are only 1 week pp, let your body heal. If you do anything now you are only prolonging the healing. Plus it can easily make bleeding more intense and possible issues.

It's great that you feel great but that doesn't mean your body is ready. Rather be safe and wait until you've been cleared.

From now until 6 weeks pp, this is all you can do:
-breathing exercises/kegels 
-walks (bonus if you're pushing the stroller)
-workouts with 10lb weights or less (like pilates) once you stop bleeding
I wouldn't push it. I did and it caused even more damage to my core and pelvic floor muscles.

Just light walking until you’re cleared at your pp appointment. You might feel great but still have an open wound inside of you! My doctor cleared me at 5 weeks for cardio but told me to wait another week or two before doing core work. He said to prevent the chance of prolapse. 
I did daily walks outside starting 1 week pp. it felt great. I also had an easy delivery with only a minor episiotomy.
