If you think you got bit by a rabid animal go to the hospital immediately.  The vaccines only work in a certain time frame.  If you were infected and don’t get them you will die.

Rabies has a death rate of 100%. If you think you've been bit by a wild animal and you don't know if they were infected, go to a hospital. It is avoidable with early intervention.

No there is no blood test for rabies, to diagnose rabies they take the brain of the potentially infected animal, freeze it and slice it into microscopic slices and examine them under a microscope. Obviously to examine a brain the animal is killed first. If you think you’ve been bitten by a rabid animal seek medical attention, for the shots to work they must be given in a certain timeframe.
