Alternatives to shaving?!

Im sick of shaving! Especially down there! It grows back like the next day-.-
Ladies im about to have sex for the first time in many years (I know!!) and I want to be clean and smoooooth! I heard brazilian wax is the way to go? Does it hurt? Is it awkward??! 😅 
I gave birth 15 months ago and had a third degree tear/episiotomy. So im obviously all healed up but somehow scared waxing will affect it??😅😅
How long does a good brazilian wax last? How about just a plain ol’ wax? I want a full body wax including the private areas if that makes sense
Also hygiene: how can I make sure I smell good down there?😅

Honestly I skip the shaving and waxing because I hate the regrowth itching and poking. I've switched to basic trimming. With beard trimmers. Takes it down enough to be soft and not pokey, but not enough to deal with regrowth itching and poking.

Getting a brazilian wax wasn't as bad as I thought. She talked to me the entire time so it was kinda fun. It does hurt but the pain fades quick. The last step is to hold your knees and she waxes your butt. I wasn't expecting that! Haha. Overall was very happy with smooth skin for weeks. I believe if you keep going regularly then you can start going less and less often because hair takes longer and longer to grow back. I only went twice so I dunno.

i know you don't have the time for this if you are having sex like this weekend... but hubby invested in laser hair removal for me because i could only shave once every week or two or i would break out in hives. waxing was super painful for me during and days after... he likes super smooth so he got me the treatment. 
i haven't shaved anything since March 2015. it has been fantastic! 
(anything = arm pits, legs upper and lower, whooha and booha (vagina and butt))

I’ve been getting Brazilian waxes consistently for a couple of years. It’s well worth it…it’s painful for a couple of seconds but that’s it. The hair grows back slower and thinner.

Waxing is awesome...it hurts, but it's over pretty quick. I got waxed 6 months after giving birth and I had healed tearing that was perfectly fine. It lasts a couple weeks in the beginning and for me the more consistent I am in going the longer it lasts.
