Please help! Am I overreacting?

So a stray cat bit my shoe two months ago. The stray cat still lives by my house and seems healthy. Can it possibly transmit rabies to me when it showed no symptoms? today it scratched my shoe and it was my fault cuz I was dragging my foot over it. I read some cats survived rabies and I keep wondering what if it transmitted the virus and then survived? I feel sick to my stomach and can’t eat. Am I overreacting and how? Thanks.
