I need advice...I suffer from PCOS, and my doctor suggested that I try ovulation tests to see if I'm ovulating. Turns out that I'm most likely not. The problem is that I'm super depressed now. I had a chemical pregnancy back in August, & I feel hopeless.

Sometimes I feel like it doesn’t always read it correctly.. I will take a picture with my phone camera and the automatic camera in the app. I also have Premom app and you can upload a photo and take the automatic photo. I do that with the same test and see that the numbers match. Also, make sure you take the photos in good lighting. Hope this helps and isn’t confusing! Baby dust to you✨

I think you probably did ovulate there between 16/17. You should test twice a day to insure you don't miss peak.

Always yes. Twice per day. Morning and evening. Start testing cd10.

Well, since this cycle is basically over, when should I start testing (CD), and should I always test twice per day?

I would definitely add temping that would help too and confirm ovulation

CD16 was likely your positive. That specific test on that day is negative, but… When they start to get as close to the same darkness, you should start testing twice a day. You probably had your positive/peak a couple hours later, following that test. Once you get your positive 12-36 hours later is when you will usually ovulate. OPK strips don’t confirm ovulation. Try BBT’ing in conjunction with the OPKs to confirm ovulation. :-)

Usually, you will want to choose a time in the morning to temp. You should temp yourself at that same time every morning. Typically, you want to be sleeping for at least four straight hours before taking your temp. I wear an Ava bracelet because I’m not very good at sleeping throughout the night. And then you keep track of your temps. I use Fertility Friend for my temp records. After you ovulate, your temp will raise considerably compared to previous temps. To confirm ovulation, you have to have three temps in a row that are higher than the previous six. Hopefully, this makes sense.

How do I do a BBT? What should the thermometer read? Thank you for your advice!

I have PCOS, and my ovulation tests are always wrong. It can be different with every person. What works for me is going on Femara (like letrozole) and then having her check to see if I am ovulating--we do this via ultrasound. She goes in and sees if there are any follicles ready to drop.

Thank you for your advice. I will mention this to my doctor next time I speak to her (I'm currently waiting for her to email me back). Has this method blessed you with a baby?
