A couple of days ago I made plans to help out a friend of mine move and so I told my fiancé that he would need to watch Priscilla. He was playing his game at the time so it didn’t surprise me that when I woke him up he acted surprised that I was leaving. After some back and forth which included him basically throwing a mini fit and me refusing to change my plans, I left.

I was only gone for an hour and a half give or take and I get a text telling me I need to hurry the hell up and that he can’t do it and it’s been “four hours.” Not feeling sorry for him one bit I finished up and came home.

When I walked in the door, he was sitting in his chair in the living room our daughter fast asleep on his chest and he was in tears. “I can’t do it, I can’t handle the screaming I just can’t.” he says. I take our daughter and he just sits there rubbing his head than stands up and gives me a kiss and than her a kiss on the head. He was calm for the rest of the night, no yelling, no complaining, even making me a bottle when he heard her stir without me having to ask. ( He made it wrong but I said nothing just quietly made a new one and showed him the paper with her calorie requirements later that evening)

Today I had to run some errands and since he had the day off I left her at home with dad. I was gone off and on practically the whole day. Not once did I get a phone call or an angry text telling me to hurry. Instead when I came home he was in the living room and our daughter was fast asleep with a smile on her face.

It’s a small victory and only time will tell if this will continue or if he will go back to how he has been. For now though it’s Priscilla 1 Daddy 0 😊 I’m thinking next week I’ll introduce him to the washer and dryer, it’s been a while since they have spent some quality time together 🥰
