How do you manage..?

How do you manage a sick baby. I had my girl at 37 and 2 days because of severe pre eclampsoa. I had an emergency c section and I feel useless. I can't even hold my girl who is also sick and my heart is just breaking. 🥺

Is there a specific reason you can't hold her? If it's something they are passively saying or not saying then be a little more aggressive and direct with them and tell them even if just for 5 mins you want to hold you love those cables and wires move they should allow you some contact if just for a moment. If there is direct reasons they won't then ok but without any 🤔 time to go in mama bear mode 🐻

It’s hard! I know after my c section i couldn’t really get around much without help and I didn’t trust myself to walk around with the baby because I was super wobbly from having swollen feet. Thank god for my husband and my MIL because I literally couldn’t even change a diaper on my own. it does pass! By 2 weeks pp I was 98% back to my old self.

I had my son at 39 weeks and 3 days I had severe pre eclampsia also and he was blue when he was born they didn’t even show him to me he they cut him out or let me hold him I started freaking out because I thought something bad had happened they took him and ran test sewed me up and took me to my room and 20 mins in my room they bring him in and monitor me and him every hour on the hour I stayed in the hospital for 7 days with him till they let us go home the reason they kept me that long is cause my blood pressure would not normalize for them to clear me for discharge

Don’t worry. This will pass and you will have that baby in your arms soon enough. It won’t hurt bonding. Take a second to take care of you. Baby will be fine

I couldn’t hold my baby for the first time until after he was 2 weeks old because he was born pretty sick and on a ventilator. Hopefully that is not ur case and u r both ok and u get to hold him. U having a c section shouldn’t stop u.

Why aren't they allowing you to hold her? It's actually good for her. And to have her on your chest.

There is no reason why you can’t hold your baby, even hooked up to machines and things.
