Small fetal stomach
This is my 3rd pregnancy and it’s a boy! My first two are girls, and we are thrilled to be having a little boy. At the ultrasound the tech didn’t say anything about being concerned or that any measurements were red flags. She said baby is measuring in the 67th percentile and weighs about 12 ounces. My amniotic fluid looks great, zero abnormalities and everything appears normal. We left feeling happy with everything, and then the following day I received a test result email from the clinic saying that in some of the images the fetal stomach measured small, noting that it was likely transient finding? I’m unsure of what that means. She also said the fetal profile was difficult to clear. I wasn’t concerned before but am now, anything I google regarding a small fetal stomach is freaking me out! I downloaded the detailed report from the ultrasound and it still states everything, including the stomach, appears normal. I’m so confused! I have to go back in in two weeks to do another ultrasound. I’m hoping it was just that baby was being stubborn during the ultrasound and she didn’t get all of the images she wanted to get. Has anyone dealt with this before? I have a 20 week prenatal appointment on Thursday so I’ll be asking my OB what all of this means as well.
