I’m looking for some help or words of encouragement on how to tell my family I’m pregnant. I currently have a 1 year old son and I am 23 weeks pregnant.

Our current housing situation isn’t great and because of the market we’re struggling to find a bigger house which we can afford BUT we’re trying really hard and will settle for something more expensive if it comes to that because there’s no way we can raise two kids in the place we are in.

When I announced my first pregnancy, my mom wasn’t the happiest, she didn’t say that or anything but I could just see the disappointment and shock on her face (we are in our early 20s). She eventually came around once it sunk in and she absolutely adores my son.

I don’t want to have that happen again and it upset her because then it ruins how happy I am about the pregnancy. But clearly I can’t hide it forever.
