My doctor checked my stitches to make sure they were gone and that I had healed well. Pushed on my stomach to make sure there was nothing left behind. Asked if I had stopped bleeding, asked about any postpartum depression symptoms and breastfeeding and offered to refer me to a therapist or lactation consultant if I needed.Also prescribed birth control.
