anyone get their tubes tied at 23?

I'm in PA. due in May with my 2nd and I'd prefer to not have anymore 😂 do you think my Dr will let me get my tubes tied if I'm only 23?

you can go to the childfree reddit and there’s a list of doctors in each state that will tie your tubes at most ages

So even if you get your tubes tied you have a 1% chance of each year of getting pregnant. Only way to 100% make sure you can't get pregnant again is that everything removed. Long as you're having periods can still get pregnant.

My mom got her tubes tied but they wouldn’t allow her to get them tied until after her 4th kid and this was like 10 years ago. She was able to get the procedure done as soon as she gave birth. Maybe ask your doctor about it!

If your doctor won't you could ask if they could refer someone who will. I can't imagine any doctor would withhold information you specifically ask for.

I got mine tied at 30 during my 3rd csrction and i regret it. Not because its permanent contraception but because it made my periods worse, painful ovulation and painful periods  and they didint tell me how painful the recovery was with my uterus contractiing after my csection. It was the worst pain ive ever felt.

My biological mother got hers tied around then. It's really something to be discussed between you, your partner, and your doctor.

Can you get an IUD placed? 
My youngest sister had a boy and girl young with her husband and they decided they were done having kids and she got her tubes tied. 10 years later they divorced and she met and married another man a few years later who had no children. They tried multiple times to have children with surgeries and IVF but nothing worked. 7 years later they also divorced because he said he wanted his own biological children. You don’t know how the next decade will work out. Really be sure.

I remember reading that a lot of doctors won’t do it unless you have more the 3 or are over 35, but I honestly have no clue! Doesn’t hurt to ask, the worst they can say is no lol
