Diaper Quality Decline of 20-21

Shelby

Anyone else notice the absolute decline in diaper quality from almost every brand in 2020-2021? I’m so irked. I have the most sensitive child ever. The main diaper we loved was Honest and they’re a joke now. Huggies was a second favorite and all their lines are lower quality now. We like Millie moon from target, but they aren’t holding up during nighttime anymore. I also have a child with a humongous booty. He’s 30lbs and in size 5-6 diapers. I’m over it. Anyway, thanks for coming to my TED talk. Here’s a pic of my spoiled 2 year old for attention.

You can thank covid lol I work in medical procurement and the availability of plastic and spunbound material is in very low supply and what is available is through the roof cost wise. It’s causing manufacturers to work with what they have and/or alter production of products.

Yes! I noticed in several brands I had always used with previous kiddos even. We are back to using Pampers Baby Dry sz 6. They are not the favorite for my budget but it’s what is still working and doesn’t seem to have digressed in quality. Now here comes Dec baby and I guess Pampers it will be for him too 😑 come on gift cards to the baby sprinkle lolol

I wish we could use Pampers. They have scent in them though that my little guy is allergic to 😩. Pampers pure was a favorite, but the material in the back gives my little guy eczema break outs on his lower back.

Omg yes!! What the heck??? I normally cloth diaper but had another baby in sept. So I moved my August babe to disposables for a while to save on some time and laundry. I was buying huggies and they were horrible. So Amazon ran a sale on Honest and I bought two of the big boxes, only to find their quality went to absolute trash too! I have to use a cloth diaper cover OVER the disposables to keep them from leaking everywhere 😒 I tried to return a box because I just planned to go back to cloth instead, and was told I wasn’t able to return them 🤬

Oh no! Walmart and Target let me return diapers even if they’re opened and some have been used. I had to do this when trying new diapers that didn’t work out. I’ve never had to return through Amazon though. The only diapers I’ve found that I like right now are Millie Moon from Target. They replaced their cloud island diapers which I didn’t care for. These are much better in my opinion, but they definitely aren’t for skinny babies. My little guy has a big booty so they work. He’s been leaking through at night every once in a while though. The size 6s are still too big to go up a size though. I’m so disappointed in the quality of diapers for the most sensitive population.
