Ovulation Right After Period?

Question

Everything I am reading is saying that ovulation is approximately 12-16 days after your period. Why am I ovulating at approximately 3 days after? I’m trying to learn by the average woman’s science but I’m having a hard time getting the basics when mine comes so quickly.. Does ovulating that close to your period signal PCOS? Is this not a good sign? I’m in month 2 or 3 ish for TTC now
*I track using OPKs and pin point ovulation by testing and ovulation pain*

You can absolutely ovulate that quickly after the end of your period. I ovulated the last day of my period and wound up pregnant. I do have PCOS, but not sure if that's an absolute sign of PCOS. I would recommend tracking BBT and using ovulation strips. And if you are worried about PCOS speak with your gynecologist. Good luck on your journey!

I have a very regular period and always ovulate 7-8 days after period has finished its different for everyone as long as your using opks then you can't go wrong

Whilst I can't comment on PCOS I can share my experience of tracking my ovulation. We managed to conceive in August  1) The app is a good guide, but sometimes you might ovulate a day or so earlier or later 2) Listen to your body. For example sharp pains on the left or right it's usually a sign you are releasing an egg/ovulation 3) Track your discharge, mine was certainly more egg white texture like as I neared OD 4) Remember we all have different bodies so it's OK if your results don't match others 5) The luteal phase can vary in some women. Most are 12-14 but for some it can be longer. Hence some months you may ovulate not longafter your period ends. 6) If you are diligent try to monitor your temp each morning (same time) before getting out of bed. Youll likely see a see peak as you reach OD and a drop after you ovulate. And lastly, ovulation strips do help. I went crazy at the start testing every few hours. But I'd recommend just 2 times a day then as it gets darker you can increase to 3-4 times ( I did that on my OD) Hope that helps and good luck 👍
