Jury duty - After C section?

Hello,
I have been called in for jury duty. However, the date is about 10 days after my C section! Anyone had any experience with this? I’d be happy to go before that date but this is very bad timing unfortunately

I was summoned for jury duty 2 weeks before my due date last year, I filled out the form to be excused due to that and covid too and I was (good thing too as baby came early!), so if that was something you wanted to do I imagine they would definitely excuse you as you’re recovering from major surgery!

You can say no, primary caregiver of child and surgery are both reasons to not. Besides the surgery no way in hell you’re taking me away from my 10 day old newborn all day.

I wouldnt do it. 10 days after my csection i was still incredibly tired and wasnt always able to focus. Id honestly cal and reschedule

You can also get out of it by telling them you’re a nursing mom. Def do not do jury duty that soon after delivery
